In brief

The Batumi tour means six nights in the same 4-star hotel, in the heart of Batumi’s old town: you unpack once and explore the city, the coast and the green valleys of mountain Adjara, with trips of one to two hours by road. A guide in English, Italian, French, German or Russian, all meals, entrance fees and health insurance included.

Batumi is Georgia’s subtropical port on the Black Sea, on the coast of ancient Colchis: according to the myth, this is where the Argonauts came in search of the Golden Fleece, and Roman legions once guarded the shore.

The pace is relaxed: every day is led by a licensed professional guide, with lunch included on excursion days and dinner free for anyone who prefers it.

Petra fortress, Byzantine, built in the age of Justinian.

Medea and the Argonauts, a myth shared with the Greek and Roman world.
